Now that I use Vista my older easy cd won't work with it so I tried a more recent version and did not like it, so I went over to the latest Nero. I use the same discs I always did, Fuji's from japan. Well, I did the clean install and loaded the upgrade and it installed and works fine.

You have to download the ENTIRE newest version from the Nero website and add your install code. I use BitComet. You need to download the most recent version and make sure the ports in the firewall are open. Nero & Vista?
I am about to order a dell package which comes with vista with no option for xp. I am told that Vista is not user friendly, not easy to use and that many win 98 software wont work and that I would be better off with XP. Should i go for another manufacturer that still does XP..should I be concerned?

It meets the compatability with Microsoft except some driver updates & reinstalling Nero. Will this OS be too heavy with this system? However the video card is also very important... and just because it has 256 megs of video RAM does not necessarily mean it will work well with Vista.
